Excuse the nature of this question if this is horrifyingly obvious (not very tech savvy sadly lol).
Does the canon 5D Mark iii have any feature of a continuous auto focus? like if youre shooting a video and it'll lock focus on a car or a human or a balloon etc? or what about photos? like if you lock focus on a person or car etc will it follow that subject in focus while you take photos?
I ask because from my understanding the canon 5d mark iii, doesnt have that capability? but i checked the BH photo website for specs under the 5m3 and it says focus modes include "continuous servo AF" - doesnt that mean it focuses continuously automatically by locking in focus on a subject? I shoot using the BBF btw. I was thinking of purchasing the sony a7iii later on after its released and more videos regarding the camera come out as well. Does the sony a7iii have these features im talking about? and are the features im talking about called continuous auto focus or is there another term for it?
Im mainly wanting the A7iii for videos because its smaller, lighter, and from my understanding has that capability to track and lock focus on subjects even moving at a fast rate as well as slow mo. is that a good choice for videos?
